Assembly Member Ken Skates gave a village school top marks after a warm welcome from pupils and staff.

Mr Skates, the Labour AM for Clwyd South, spent the afternoon with pupils and staff at Welsh-speaking Ysgol Bryn Tabor in Coedpoeth on Friday (July 4) before a busy surgery at the Old Library.

Mr Skates, a Welsh learner, was given a tour of the school by headteacher Kevin Williams and also got the chance to chat to the children.

He said: “I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and it was great to meet Mr Williams and his team. It’s a great school with a wonderful atmosphere and learning environment, and I was very grateful of such a warm welcome.”
