One of the fastest-growing firms in Wales has thanked Assembly Member Ken Skates for his support after a recent visit.
The Clwyd South AM was given a tour of Healthcare Matters in Pentre Broughton and met managing director Phil Spiby.
Mr Spiby said: “We were extremely pleased that Ken found the time to visit us so quickly after we contacted him, and we appreciate his enthusiasm. He was very interested in the business and the products. It was an excellent meeting and we are very pleased to have the support of our Assembly Member.”
Healthcare Matters employs 64 people and has made the Wales Fast Growth 50 list for the past two years. The family firm supplies healthcare solutions, products and services to NHS Trusts, nursing homes, hospitals and the general public.
Mr Skates said: “It was great to meet Phil and some of the team and hear about their new products and exciting plans for the future. Healthcare Matters is an excellent local company. I wish them continued success and look forward to helping however I can.”
Last week the Welsh Government confirmed hundreds of companies in Clwyd South are set to benefit from its £98m Small Business Rates Relief scheme. The boost for local businesses meets the key Welsh Labour manifesto promise to deliver a tax cut for all small firms. In total 8,402 premises across Wrexham and Denbighshire will benefit.
