The Clwyd South AM attended the event at Ruabon Station as part of Welsh Labour’s National Rail Campaign Day on Monday (September 3), which aimed to explain some of the benefits Wales’s new rail operator will bring when it takes over from Arriva next month. Clwyd South AM Mr Skates spent time with pupils at Ysgol Sant Dunawd in Bangor-on-Dee on Friday (July 6) to hear more about the work Year 6 youngsters are doing to help raise awareness of the issue as part of this term’s ‘Blue Planet’ topic. New Welsh Labour Government funding will make roads in Cefn Mawr safer after a campaign.
County councillor Derek Wright this week welcomed the £66,000 grant to Cefn Community Council through the Welsh Government’s Local Transport Fund, which will also see 20mph zones and traffic-calming measures in Acrefair, Newbridge, Plas Madoc and Rhosymedre.
